Proud to be growing with you, major! I'm sure ready to get the new gardening year started. I'm looking at starting some of those long starting seeds by January first. . . Onions, Leeks, Begonias, Impatiens, etc.

Yep, my mailorder seeds came in two days ago. I'll start them in February. But I still have some bean vines to tear down from a fence before i can call this year done and call it quits.

Enjoy those carrots while you take your well-earned break.

Major', what a fine presentation with clickable photo's and captions!

So! 63 days of rain! See, my growing season is 63 days of clouds & wind followed by aridididiDIDidity! It is easy to see that you did well in your battle with the problems from difficult weather.

We know that you enjoyed the fresh food - as well you should! Keep up the good work in 2014, both here on TEG & in your garden :).

Awesome work Major!

I'm gonna guess that you use levels and squares, not just tape measures! Everything you do is so neat!

So what do you have between the beds? Do you mow it or cover it with something?

I'm assuming you have a smaller tiller to get into the beds too?

The original beds have grass a mower will not fit everywhere so a weed eater does it in about 10 mins,
The newer beds are sitting on fill dirt and at the moment
The walkways are just covered with straw. By spring time will either put pea gravel or seed down.

Yes have a cultivater that fits, very handy when adding compost to them.
