I planted cauliflower seeds in September and have had a pretty good harvest. They haven's all come in at once, they have spaced themselves out 1-2 a week. So my question is this; will cauliflower send out side shoots like broccoli does, or once you cut it, is that all you get?

That's a good question?! I just planted mine a couple of weeks ago, I already have sprouts. I would like to know this too.

I have not had successful cauliflower in quite some time. When I did they never had side sprouts and I have never seen them sold anywhere. I think sprouts were bred for in broccoli. I would pull them and feed them to the chickens or the compost.

Thanks! I will pull up the ones that have already produced. I am going to cook the stems and leaves and juice them. Cucumber beetles leave cauliflower and broccoli alone, so I am going to try the juice as a spray.

I have never had side shoots from cauliflower either. My brocolli always does.
