Cherokee not happy!

Yesterday I moved some Dichondra from a special place Cherokee likes to take naps when I am working in the garden.

Since I had to get rid of my chickens, due to the HOA of the Condos next door to us! They even made me remove all chicken structures!!
I had a cute area set up for them! Now it is all gone.

So.. in it's place I decided to put in more flagstone and make
it a small seating area where I can watch Hummingbirds.

The plan is to cover the pallets and the hay storage area with more PVC lattice, at some point hopefully. I told my husband I was going to start praying someone will throw out four good panels of PVC lattice at the next "bulky/brush pick up" done by the city about three times a year. He said "Why don't you just go pray in front of Home Depot?" Silly Man!!!
Any how I put Dichondra between the flagstones in my new little patio.

As I was digging it up, Cherokee was getting upset about it. He actually laid down right where I wanted to put my shovel I had to make him move!

Oh my goodness look at that face! I would have had a hard time moving him to work. You did tell him it was o.k. and he gets to lay on the new cool place.
I can not imagine how the condo's HOA can tell YOU what you can and can not have in your yard! It was not like you had a messy place and smelly or roosters crowing. Makes me mad and sad.

A women in a town near me is having trouble with neighbors concerning her chickens. It is legal for her to have chickens, there is a privacy fence between them, But the neighbor is allergic to the chicken feathers that come into her yard. The chicken owner is not allowed to know what her illness is because of privacy so therefore cannot defend herself. The town board keeps finding in favor of the chicken owner. They have inspected both properties. the chickens are pristine and no feathers were found in the neighbors yard. However, the father of the complainer is politically connected.The state attorney general or some such title. Jeeze.

Yes it is amazing how quickly they grow!!! And he does have another even better cool place to take naps.
