If you bring them inside they can give you more peppers AND when you put them outside in spring they will go gangbusters. Pepper plants are perennials in their native lands. I have a chiltepin pepper that comes inside in the winter. it goes semi-dormant when I bring it inside. It will be 3 years old this summer. Years 2 and 3 are supposed to be the most productive.
