In Cal. someone gave me some chive starts that grow only 4" - 6" tall and rapidly form bunches . Small , round ball type purplish flowers. My wife loves them as garden accents and more importantly in cooking. Now here in Washington, I don't seam to find any everywhere that I looked and asked for them in nurseries. Can anyone, pretty please, identify them so that I could order some seed or bulbs or starts ? :bow

I agree, they can't be quite that short and be chives. Even the curly chives I've grown are a bit taller than 6-8 inches. Garlic chives are a bit shorter (not much) than common chives, but have white flowers.
