Just over 14 years ago , our daughter took in a 8 year old, 7 lb., female , Chihuahua to be her 2 year old son's and new born daughter's pet when one of her former classmates got married and moved cross country. She was a wonderful pet and guardian to " her 2 kids " ( grandson #1 and granddaughter #1 ) and the world's best strangers beware watch dog for the last 14 years even up to last night. This morning at 2:30 AM, she died peacefully with " her 2 kids " and our daughter with her. Cleo was 22 years old. She will be sorely missed.

What a wonderful blessing for both your family and for Cleo, that life together was so good. Time enough to make lots of memories that can carry you through this time of sorrow, but never enough time together.

It is easy to tell that Grandpa was also much connected to Cleo. Hugs!

Feel your pain. When our DD guardian died, would have thought world had ended. DW was by far the worst...of course I got to be bad guy because he had to be put down due to throat cancer.

Wow, what a long life for Cleo. How fortunate for your family to be blessed with her. How hard to let her go and how fitting that she left surrounded by the people she loved. Big hugs to Cleo's family.
