compost question?

we have working dogs and i bulk feed them at every week end so their is enogh food for them. a flood cam and was only high enough to fill the containers with water and making the food a slush. can i put this on my compost? would it be bad?

In my opinion it would be OK to put it into your compost. Processed dog food is mostly grain with a tiny bit of animal fat added. The small amount of oils would be eaten and "converted" quickly in your compost pile. I would not hesitate to do it.

I've done it before with cat food and would do it with dog food. I believe dog food is a little more salty than cat food, but I don't think there is enough salt in there to hurt. It is probably a pretty small volume of your overall compost materials.
