Thank you boggy! That was a good read... and I love my compost tea, and duck poo tea... I swear by it for my fruit trees!!! :D

Nothing like water from a duck pond. It really does wonders.
I would think the caution about not using too close to harvest is more for the root crops or things like lettuce which are cut close to the ground. I can't imagine it aplying to something like toamatos that are harvested well above where the compost tea might reach. You can do the same trick with aged cow, goat etc. manure.

Thats good, I have some 4 month old rotten horse manure waiting to get one last mix before it goes in with the rest of my compost... and I'm planning on plenty of tea from it! ;)
