Good thing......Having access to ALL the thrown out produce from work.

Bad thing........Running out of room for compost piles.

Solution:

Will be "starting" the piles in the regular bins and will transfer to this contraption when it's time to make the first "turning". It has a 1/2 inch wire floor for the finished compost to fall through. The "open" end is actually covered by 1/4 inch wire.

NOW, the dilemma is....will it withstand the weight? Will know real soon.

I never imagined you would have too much compost, Boggy! Looks like your idea should work... Keep us posted!

Me neither, lesa......but I'm bringing 75 to 100 lbs home EVERY day to cut up. Had a MASSIVE amount of "browns" stored up from gathering all winter. It's all, amost, gone.....ALREADY. Can't believe it.

Will keep you posted.......be it a success or failure.

You need a wood chipper! And I recommend a pig! That is a lot of produce!

Wooooohooooo......Just went into town and found a truck load of "browns" that the city hadn't picked up yet.. Back in business (the right way), at least for a few more days.
