This morning I was in a mood i had to clear snow from car then defrost windshield. Then while sitting in a warm car drinking a hot coffee I saw this. Gave her $20 and said have a hot breakfast on me. Lately I have been feeling overwhelm, and lost sight of how lucky I am

Thank you, @Nyboy. Knowing your soft heart, I'm surprised you didn't invite her in for lunch. (I have a friend who has done that. Drives her DH crazy)

LOL I didnt have time. Westchester is one of the wealthiest county in the country. Yet seniors need to pick though garbed in the snow and cold.

Here we call them bag ladies. Not sure what men are called. They usually are homeless and have everything they own in bags in a shopping cart.

While I refuse to hand anyone money, I have given cash to the waitress with the request to feed an occasional fellow traveler. I've recently started purchasing and carying around 'scrip'(?) food cards and gas cards to share with some of the visitors at my Friday job. I know they can use the cards for things other than food, but at least they have to go to where the food is to make that choice.
