Ok... here goes, for years my husband has asked me to make him a cowboy shirt. His bithday is Aug. 5th. I have all the stuff now to make the shirt. (I have had it for weeks actually) I am just not confident in putting on snaps and doing all the top stitching, to say nothing of having it fit him when I am finished! It is not that I can't do it, I know I can do it.

Off I go, to cut it out! He made it easy for me even, he picked a light blue Chambray, no plaids to match up, no piping or fancy stuff. For the next three days I am sewing!!

This morning my husband said "I will now probably die in the next 6 months since I have wanted this shirt for so long!" He is such a goofball!

Well good luck, that's way too advanced for me. I'm more of a quilt and patching kinda girl! :) But you're amazing, so I have faith!!! :D

I have made many shirts over the years. I prefer snaps to BUTTON HOLES .... :somad ) Print flannel designs, chambray and stripes, yeah no plaids to match!) ;) The part I like least is getting the pattern pinned on and cut out. *sigh* from there on it is FUN. He is going to LOVE his gift. And wear it proudly. Can we get a pic of him in it when it is done and gifted? I'd love to see the finished project. :D

That's so sweet :love . When I was dating my husband i made him a lot of shirts, even plaid.... I don't think I could do that now, I've lost too many brain cells :p.

Great job. I struggle with even top stiching. Your did a fabulous job. Will it get snaps or buttons? (He is going to love this.)
