They are a big problem here and have been attacking people. Not sure I believe reports they all had rabies. All attacks animals test positive for rabies yet the Westchester county health dept is doing nothing to make sure pets are vaccinated. I believe coyotes are feeding their puppies having no fear of man see small children as prey. Health dept using rabies as a cover rather then man eating coyotes on the loose here.
'O' 'O' 'O' 'O' 'O'
They probably tested it for rabies. Coyotes have been living in cities for 4-5 DECades now. It may have had a den close by. They are TOTAL VERMIN!!!! We have coywolves, which are a cross. We just lost a cat and are raising her orphan kittens, 3 wks old last Friday, or so. Not a great loss, bc she would never get the feral out of her. I was planning on trapping her and getting her fixed bc this is her FOURTH unwanted litter. Anyway, I suspect a coywolf nailed her since she would hunt at night. ALL of her kittens from previous litters are now either rehomed or live here and are docile inside-outside cats. Here is a photo of the 3 that lived (2 died by the time I realized she wasn't coming back.)
Names: Lynx, Minx and Smudgekins (the grey one)
We have them on milk replacer, hence the milk mouths and I bought a pack of 32 cans of soft wet food to transition them. We are keeping the gray one and will rehome the other two. NOW, I will be paying to fix a female cat who wants to stay with us, and then everybody on the ranch can't breed.
