I wasn't sure but what this could have gone under "Gardening with Animals", if you know what I mean about cats "helping" in the garden. o_O

We had more cats than I can count growing up. This may explain a lot for me, although I don't by any stretch consider myself a cat lover. I don't have schizophrenia, but I have an aunt who does and I would not be making light of it, as it is a devastating disease.

Cat parasite linked to mental illness, schizophrenia

"Cat ownership in childhood has now been reported in three studies to be significantly more common in families in which the child is later diagnosed with schizophrenia or another serious mental illness," the authors reported in a press release.
Just thought this was rather interesting. And a reminder to me to wear gloves when gardening!

Maybe it's one of those association things that aren't really related, like the fact that the # of rape incidents goes up with the increased sale of ice cream.

Cat poop is just downright nasty. It stinks. And in the garden, EEWWW The cat lady in our old neighborhood fed all the feral cats, then they felt the need to use my garden for their toilet. I stuck plastic forks, tines up, all in the garden. It sure helped, they didn't like getting forked in their little patooties.

I like cats, just not a hundred of them crapping in the yard and peeing on the porch. LOL
