Cucumber Leaves

OK another problem here. My garden the cucumber leaves are turning brown and dying there are many flowers still but the leaves are brown. I water daily becasue we have no rain the cucumbers growing on the fence leaves are fine HELP I planted too early too many at once and my tomato plants turned into monsters I have too many in there but there leaves are fine

That's unfortunate. :( Can you post any pictures?

There may be any number of problems to chose from. Vine borers can reek havoc on any of the squash family, nutritional deficiency's, over watering, root weevils, nematodes, etc., etc....

Are you watering just the base of the plant? Are you using a sprinkler, or drenching the leaves? If so, perhaps its actually a mildew, or fungal problem. You could try sulphur spray, or copper spray, if you can determine the evil they are suffering from.

Watering daily can also let the roots get lazy, as they don't need to grow deeper to find water, as well, it may wash away some nutritional values in the soil. Unless it's scorchingly hot you might want to try watering every second day, and perhaps add a little Miracle Grow, or something similar.

Gardening can be frustrating at times, when your plants seem to be slipping away for unknown reasons.:eek: Good luck!
