This Violette de Bordeaux has almost half of the trees leaves curled. I deep water it once a week and the leaves stay the same right after watering so I don't think it's due to lack of water. A lot of people automatically says it's stressed from our drought but I don't think so since despite of it, it gets plenty of water.
I also don't think it's mosaic wilt. There are no insects or damage on those curled leaves. The tree does have some leaves that are normal.
Some branches and trunk did get chewed by rats pretty badly but it has come back very well. I don't think it's stress from that either because I've had a Black Mission before that also did that and rats never touched that tree.
I think the soil is healthy since everything around it grows very well. Anyone have any idea why those leaves curl?
