I'm new to gardening and a bit concerned about my tomato plants. The plants seem to be growing well but the new little leaves on top are very curled up. Is this the way they are suposed to look as they grow? I have all different types of tomato plants (grape, roma and big boys) I just never remember the plants looking like this before. Lots of rain lately, cool temps also. Thanks Lynn

It matters how curled that are? I have some with a slight curl on the ends, and all my like plants looks like that. I usually assume its on the hottest and driest of days that they do that.

Are the crimped and folded badly? Or is a slight curl at the ends?

Pictures would help!

Tuffy, I notice the same thing on my new growth. I am really hoping it is normal. I am guessing it is the crazy weather. It was 50 degrees, here yesterday. I could hear my plants crying!!

On some heirloom varieties that's normal but if they are forming tight balls of leaves at the ends that don't want to open up it could be the cool weather.

Lesa and all, thanks for the replys. I also live in upstate NY(Lake George) I really hope it is our screwy weather. Other than the curly leaves the plants are doing well. I love this site, no question seems like a stupid question~ again thanks all.
