Have an aphid infestation (on 1 mum plant in a pot... and not another aphid infestation on anything near by :/ ).

Will sprinkling some DE on it help any... or do I need to break out my garlic, water, soap mix?

Since aphids are soft bodied insects and you only have them on the one plant, why don't you just squish them? That will give your thumb a satisfyingly green tint and your gardener soul a satisfyingly warm sense of vindication.

Or , since aphids are soft bodied insects DE would dehydrate just dandily.

Personally, I prefer the squish method. :sick

DE didn't kill mine. DE worked great for me on flea beetles, but not on the aphids. For aphids, neem oil works. It also seems to do a good job on the spider mites.
