Guys, you know when you do a brake job and think, should be able to use the old brake pads or shoes for something, you know the metal part.

Well I was welding a horse panel for the girls, and the metal the panels is made out of is like thick paper, and this panel was the one that has a gate in it. I used a ell brace, like for a small shelf, for the inside angle but it's still welded to paper thin, then I thought: yeh and use a pare of old front brake pads for gussets~it doesn't look sweet but it's strong!

You don't need a picture?

Beekissed~I told you it wasn't pretty~you can't see it, in the second picture it's too dark, but there is an ell brace welded in the inside angle~Well, there they are brake pad gussets~guess I'll have to take a better picture, can't hardly make em out~

I can see it....and it doesn't have to be pretty! Now I get the gist of what you were describing. That's some good ingenuity, there.

I so wish I could weld and had the equipment to do so, there are so many times I need to weld things here and I don't know a single soul who has a metal shop.
