Today was in the 70's, sunny and beautiful. I planted a pear tree and then transplanted the San Augustine grass to other places in the yard. I dug up a 2'x10' strip next to the driveway where the green bean garden will live. It is next to the driveway now, but I am shifting it closer to the house so I can plant butterbeans in that space too. I sat in the dirt, got dirt under my fingernails and had a great time!

Lucky you!

I went out to bury some stuff in the compost pile and couldn't even chip a hole in the dirt. :p

Wow Baymule, sounds like it's really nice out there! Not as warm here but I won't complaint. I can still go out this afternoon to help my grower out for a few hours. I'm just loving it even if it is just clean up work! :)

Baymule,
My brother lives in Corpus Christi and just loves to call me and rub it in when he sees the weather go to crap up here. Well, it's 13 and snowing like crazy right now. Thanks a lot :smack :D

Today I loaded 18 square bales in the back of the truck, went to the feed store and got 6 bags of feed and then went to our land and unloaded it into the shed. Then the best part, I SHOVELED HORSE POOP!!!!

I came home, unshoveled the poop and like a good little wife, I washed out the back of DH's truck. I am sweaty, have hay in my hair, poop in my tennis shoe and fire ant bites up my leg. It's been a GREAT DAY!! Well, except for the durn fire ants...... :rant

And my 8 hens are laying again, got 6 yesterday and 5 today!! The 20 chicks I bought that hatched on Christmas are eating their little heads off and growing. Looks like I only have 6-7 little roosters in the bunch. They will go to freezer camp the day after they crow!!

Going back outside, there is still time to get more DIRT on me!!!!!
