Disappointment For Dad

I just got off the phone with my dad, he was so happy when he called me. He had just gotten a call from a Lawyer, a family member that dad didn't even know died and left him a large sum of money. I could hear the disappointment when he said are you sure theres no way it could be true. Lucky my sister handles all my dads banking, rather then give out his imfor he told them to call my sister. At least he got to feel rich for a few mintues.

I wish there was a way to track these low life's and pay them a visit. Post all employees phone numbers and addresses. Pay them a visit as well.....

We have been getting phone calls from pharmacies --- maybe.

Mostly, they have been phone messages and we haven't responded. DW changed her medical insurance this year. One of her meds was from a "specialty" pharmacy. It was often a problem - delays, wanting to switch to generic despite repeated calls from doctor's office to that pharmacy. She had to change insurance because of a new doctor but it was a relief to think that we wouldn't be dealing with that pharmacy anymore!

Not true. They (maybe them) have called repeatedly over several weeks. The first time, she gave them her new insurance membership numbers. They called back with a request to return their call. DD works in insurance (home/auto), she called and gave them the same numbers and those people called back as soon as she left. She called again and they said that "they were working on it." Working on what? We don't have that insurance so assume that we don't need that pharmacy now! A different pharmacy (maybe) left another phone message yesterday. I told DD she shouldn't close the door on them (if they are legitimate representatives) because this year's medical insurance is new-to-us. Maybe they will also require that DW use a "specialty" pharmacy. I hope it's not the previous one!

Or, is it all a scam???? And, who are they trying to scam: Us or the new insurance company with bills for medicine that aren't ordered or provided. Today, I will talk to the local pharmacy that should now dispense her meds. Did they have problems with the insurance payment in January? Do they anticipate any problems with the new insurance company ahead? If everything is copasetic: people on the telephone are getting NO more information from us!

Grrr Christmas of 2015 my MIL got taken by a similar phone call. Only she PAID them the $500 in order to get her BIG payout. After that we changed her phone numbers as they actually continued too call her. Yep , would have loved to have gotten our hands on those low lifes.

My father would have given out all his banking info, but his checking account was hacked into 2x. He knows now all banking handled by my sister.

You mean a scammer almost got your Dad? I've been getting calls from the same guy -sounds like a call center from India. First one -I won $9300. I said no thanks and hung up. He called a dozen more times with a different offer. I hung up many times. But if you just don't answer they call right back. Finally I said, This is the 4th time you called me today. Stop calling. It seems to finally have worked.Can not imagine making a living stealing from the elderly.

Today alone I have gotten three phone calls, from different out of state area codes. I don't answer these calls, but they keep calling back.

Cat one day I was bored and got what I know was a call from India.I just repeated everything the guy said to me, at first he sounded excited, then after a few minutes he realize something was wrong and got nasty. Well when it comes to nasty I can get down and dirty, lets just say I suggest a few acts he do with the local cows.Never called back

WHAT? WITH A COW? How awful. With a dog or cat, he would have thought about it. Way to go.....
