Yeah, if i do get or someone gives me a easter lily or any plant i try planting it in the garden. One year i had potted hyacinths that i planted in the garden after the blooms faded. Always better to plant them in the garden then to throw them away.

and they will multiply atleast mine did

i planted 2 last year at either ends of my flower bed and wahlah there are like 6 this year

mine bloom about 2 months later than the ones at the stores

They will DEFINITELY multiply. Unfortunately, after 7 years, I think my (former) easter lily "bit the dust." It did multiply, doubled, each year after planting. Guess I'll go see about one on clearance to replace it, although I already have a lot of iris and several types of daylillies and tiger lillies...
