Sounds like a bargain untill you really look into it. This house was sold on 11 /13 / 2015 ... just 5 short months ago. Obviously , the buyers found out the red tape from the historical society, city / county requirements and fees for renovation, bank financing requirements, dry rot, electric wireing issues, plumbing issues, etc. ... therefore a money pit it realy is, so put it back on the market. The value is really in the 3 acres only. Sorry ... :hu

That's going for less than my little farm house did. The taxes are super high too, for no more than it assesses for. Over 6x what mine are. I guess from being somewhat close to Pittsburg, PA.

What an unusual house though. The interior is very interesting. Some of the rooms and details really appeal to me, like the arched windows, dark wood floors and the beams in the ceilings. Some things are pretty overdone and eclectic though, don't feel like they really fit with the castle/cathedral-like feel of the rest of the home. Oddly, it spans so many different motifs there. It was fun to look through the pics though. I really love the exterior and the landscaping. I would love to know who the person was who commissioned this home to be built. I bet there is a good story there somewhere!

I bet some horrible murder took place there. It must be haunted. That is the price a two bedroom bungalow in a run-down part of town here. You know there has got to be something really bad wrong with that beautiful house, for that price. Wonder what was going on in pic #27?
