I hired my nephew and his friend to clear out a grove of swamp maples. I was planning on planting my new dogwood and magnolia trees there. They where taking a break sitting under my kitchen window that happened to be open. I heard my nephew say, I think my uncle did to many drugs when he was young and it fryed his brain. We are going to spend the whole day cutting down trees. Tomorrow we will spend the whole day planting trees, where we cut them down , makes no sence. Friend said who cares as long as we get paid. I was going to march outside and give them a lesson on weed trees vs flowering trees, but realized to them a tree will always be just a tree.

That's pretty funny from their perspective NYboy!

I baffled my kids like that when they were conscripted to help clear the native lodgepole pines and buckbrush so I could replant
the area with white pines and shrubs.

Oh to be a fly on the wall sometimes....

So...just wondering...did you fry your brain?

Sometimes evesdropping is too much fun, other times it can sting. A good laugh this time. Maybe someday he will actually come to understand the difference. But for know his buddy is right. Just Hush-Up and take the money! LOL
