Yesterday , my wife purchased gasoline and used her credit card at the pump. Within a half hour , a thief started to make purchases and charging them to her credit card. The bank called my wife within the next hour to see if she was making large purchases at businesses very near each other. MY wife said NO. So she and the bank whent over what was shown as purchases for the last month and weeded out what my wife did not buy. The bank then put an immediate STOP payment on that credit card and issued a new credit card. Since, yesterday a Credit Report Company was breached... one would be well advised to ask for new credit cards , purchase a ID protection plan, and change your computer pass words. Also, RESIST the constant barage of pleas for DONATIONS through the news media for any and all disasters and boo boos. We are now being deluged with telephone calls and mail for donations for every animal rescue, oversees slum children rescue, "police" and "fire dept." charity drives , "progressive" political causes, cruise vacation and destinations, AND send money for fees to , resieve the MILLIONS that I have inherited from Africa. , ETC . at nauseium ... EVERY DAY The lonely elderly are especially prone to donate even to their own demise.
