Finally getting the Weather Channel back. Result :hide

Still, the weather news at the Weather Service seems to be an awful lot about rain in Missouri. So! How's it going???

Though that line for thunderstorms is right on top of me...where the dash is...there are only a few wispy clouds up there. Temp right now is 70.1

I think they should place that line at least 100 miles more north.

...walll...p, now I see a thunderhead growing up into the blue sly. It's now 78.8 degrees.

Bay, I think if I went down to where you are in summer I may as well do for a final project, and start building my own coffin. I'd do much better in Greenland during winter than Texas in summer.Oh yea...there is a population boom happening at Greenland, know that? Time is ripe for someone to go there and build a complex of greenhouses.

Soon's someone invents HED's, heat emitting diodes that operate on the same principal as LED's, and can make electric heat real cheap, I really believe Greenland will become the greenhouse capital of the world.

bay, I'm with you. marshall, I would love to see 70's first thing in the morning. low 80s is how it's happening here. ugh. the hot would be more bearable if the evenings & mornings were more merciful. rain? oh, to have some rain. that would be heaven sent.

We have had some pretty strong winds, and of course lots and lots of rain, but nothing severe in my area. The people who were killed are west of me. I think it has rained every day in August so far. It is supposed to cool down next week, with highs in the upper 70's. Weirdest August ever. I would love to share some of this rain with you who need it.

That is So Lucky . . . :p !

Just hoping for normalcy - it seems odd, doesn't it?

I guess that the Pacific coast could really use some rain. There must be quite a few species that won't be able to stand much more of the dryness. California wildfires sound bad, too :/.

Nothing extreme here: Currently, it is still very warm, in the 90's every day of the forecast. We are experiencing 30 degree swings in high & low temperatures. (I'll let you do the math ;).) As our hours of overnight darkness increase, the temperature swings will approach 40, afternoons to mornings, and back. It just depends on cloud cover and humidity. Oh yes, we can have frost after a pleasant 70 autumn afternoon.
