That was a truly inspirational video clip. Can you imagine if they grow that much on 1/10th of an acre, what I could grow on my 1/2 acre? Thats astounding. Thanks for sharing.

I've followed these guys for a while now. You have to admit them being in CA makes them big cheaters! :gig

Still, if I could grow 3,000lbs of food, in half a year, I wouldn't complain :D

Because of them, I have bought a scale and am weighing every thing I harvest. I want to see how I do for pounds of produce in a year. I am aiming for 1,000 lbs/yr. But hey, its just ME doing the gardening/farming, not my daughters or wife so we will see how it goes.

And I am not doing it full-time like they are.

Even though its Southern California, it really is no picnic. WATER is a big issue here when we do not get it for 10 months. Plus, there are other little intrinsic factors that impede progress here.

But yes, overall, being in Southern California DOES help a lot!

I totally agree. I lived in Pasadena and dang is the weather nice and the bug population low! I think I also read that they have like interns or students come and do the some of the work. So that is not a real estimate on the amount of work that goes in to planting/gardening/harvesting.
