Gee, are you confused?

Do you need manufacturers to hide something from you so that you will not be confused about making a decision as to whether or not you will eat their product? This is tortured, twisted logic, and it is dangerous for the consumer. :/

I was really hoping they wouldn't pass that! I signed the petition, and I sure will try not to buy anything GMO. That is why it is so important to grow our own food and buy from local organic farms. Remember, no GMO's can be used in food labeled "organic". So, if you stick to organic you should be safer.

Soon... going to the grocery store will not be happening anymore... apparently, no where to get food, other then our yard and farm stands, will be safe and honest anymore.

My grocery store purchases are a fraction of what they were a few years ago. You just can't trust them any more. I bought some shredded "cheese" at Safeway a while ago and it didn't taste right. When I checked the ingredients it was mostly potato flour and corn starch with some cheese flavoring, yet it said cheese on the package. How do they get away with that?

The "revolving door" at the FDA has much history as any other important government position. I have followed it for years. Here is a story from 2001. Moreover, it goes back farther than that. Do you think these things just spring up over night?

The definition for revolving door means you go from a government appointed job and then right into industry or the other way around. There have been some ineffectual laws passed saying that you cannot do that until you have been gone from that position for a few yearsbut then who is paying attention and whos to prosecute it. This makes for an industry getting their agenda done and not getting done what is BEST for the American people.

Learn how NAFTA and GATT WEAKEN our food safety laws. That goes back almost twenty years.nothing happens overnight unless ..it is a BP accident Oh, excuse me, that was for a lack of safety laws being ignored over the years. Too big to burn.

Fools! Although I must say they've practically given us our farmers market and pastured meat business. DH & I bought our farm in April 2007. We started doing markets on a small scale in 2008 - then got ramped up in 2009.

We were impressed with our business growth in 2009, and this year has been GREAT. We added a CSA and got so many sign-ups, we finally had to start a waiting list for 2011. People are knocking our door down to get safe food.

No wonder! Thanks, FDA Idiots!

Congratulations on your success and keep up the good work. That's the reason they don't want GMO foods labeled. When they started labeling them in Europe no one would buy them and the same would happen here.
