bed is finished! Well, almost - I need to add my compost and herbs. I have my list of herbs I want in the spring so it's going to be a long winter!

Charming, Joan!

Now, where else do I see that sort of iris motif . . . ?

That looks amazing!! I REALLY like how you added the circular elements with the water feature and the sun decorations on the wall. Cant wait to see it with your plants.

Just lovely! I think you will find the herbs very rewarding and a pleasure to grow! Did you make the stepping stones? The set up is wonderful and I will be looking forward to seeing your gardens spilling over with fragrant herbs! Keep us posted....

Steve, you are very observant! ;)

Lesa, no, I bought the stepping stones from the place I work - I get a discount. ;)

Can't wait until spring! :)

I like the layout of your herb garden, and especially that it is so convenient to the house.
Is that sage I see growing? If it grows like it does here in zone 6, it will take over that whole square.:)
I look forward to seeing what you plant, I love having fresh herbs right from the garden.

Actually, that is my potting shed you see in the picture. I have fennel, a not-doing-so-well miniature rose, lambs ear, and verbena in the bed now - all that except the fennel will be transplanted to another location in the spring. I did grow sage year before last, and yes, it did get VERY big!
