I am so happy with the Snow Peas this year! I put lots of compost in the bed, and they are strong and healthy vines, just now putting out flowers. And this am, I spied my first pea pod!

Yay!

Do you have any green onions to go with that, Rebbetzin?

You are already halfway to a Stir-Fry . . . or, with a little scrambled egg & last night's leftover rice - Fried Rice :). (I won't say anything about ripe tomatoes-chopped, and beef-thinly sliced . . .)

I am sorry to say I didn't plant any onion sets this year! Next year for sure!! This would have been a good year for them too!

Last night I had a dream about harvesting potatoes! They were so big it took two hands to hold them! I did plant potatoes this year. They are just coming up.

Well, hey!

Don't you be shy about using any shelled snow peas with new potatoes, Rebbetzin!

The seed isn't as sweet and will have to be harvested at the right time or it will just go the way of the pod, and get tough. The tender pods could also be frozen and saved for the potatoes to catch up . . .

The pea pod looks heavenly. Sorry, Rebbetzin, the best I could do is post a "Like". There are no options for "jealous" or "covet". This is the time of year I garden vicariously while planning my own spring event. Keep up the great photos! Loved that potato bed as well.

Dearest Smart Red,

From your signature line... It sounds like you are living my dream!! I am married to a "scholar" and a very good provider... but... he is just not the "farming" type! So.. I do what I can to have a "farm life" here in the city!
