PBS use to have a gardening show where they made a foliar feed you could make from common household items. Anyone have the recipe?

I use compost tea but into it I chop a whole lot of nettles. I let it seethe away for 10 days or so until it's REALLY STINKY, then strain it & add a drop of washing-up liquid plus water (50% stinky/50% water) & pour into spray bottle. Use on a dry day. You can also add some calcified sea-weed or fresh sea-weed/ & comfrey leaves to the nettles & compost mixture but that will be even smellier........... :th

Jerry Baker, Seedcorn?

Maybe you should know that there was a lot of flack coming from university horticulturalists about some of the concoctions he came up with. I mean, birth control pills and bourbon . . ??

Anyway, if that's the guy -- these Google copies of old newspapers are a little hard to read but there are a couple of recipes in this Gainesville newspaper story about Jerry.

ammonia, epsom salt, rusty nail . . .
