So today I was picking up some feed at the feed store :) and my most awesome feed store lady offered me some of her really-starting-to-look-sad-seedlings that should have been planted last week!

Some are better than others, I picked the best ones out and I think they'll do fine! So now I am the proud owner of the following new varieties!

3 Mr. Stripey
3 Yellow or maybe it was Golden Jubilee
6 Sweet Banana Peppers
6 Golden Bell Peppers

How amazing is that!!!

But... I have NO WHERE TO PUT THEM!!!!!!!! :)
I guess I'll do a bunch of feed bag topsey turvey bags maybe?? I'm gonna have to get a whole nuther load of compost! Man.. I am constantly amazed at how much DIRT/POOP I always have to buy to garden!! I swear!

Anyway, I just wanted to share my awesome find with my gardening pals !!

They'll do well in 5 gallon buckets (drill a few drainage holes in bottom) or planters. You can get free buckets from your grocery deli. They just toss them out.

We've grown the jubilees before. One of the best yellows, imo.

You know what, finding people to take them isn't always easy, last year I had a terrible time. This year not a problem. I remember before I started growing my own going to the nursey and getting the most pathetic looking things and having to pay money for them and now it's hard to find people to take freebies.

Nice! You can't complain about free stuff!

Another free-plant possibility that a friend of mine discovered....she went to Home Depot and found a bunch of wilty plants that had been thrown in a trash can, so she asked the lady working in the nursery what they were going to do with them all. She said they would just be thrown away, and my friend asked if she could have them at a discounted price, and they gave them to her free. She took them home and watered them and they're just fine. I don't know if they would do that at all stores, but it's worth a try. :)
