You MUST keep fish in your pond if you want to keep mosquitoes down. Feeder goldfish are not expensive and stocking with pan fish is a good suggestion.

What happens to the fish? If it is predation, you could add some protective areas with pots, branches, or other things. If they're slipping out downstream, could you find a way to screen the pond a bit?

Yes, there are chemicals that will keep mosquitoes down, but if you do not want to introduce them into the open system a more natural plan is best.

@Smart Red I bought 2,000 feeders online. Not sure how many where alive at time of release. I did not except fedex 1st thing in morning they always deliver late afternoon here. 2,000 goldfish in a plastic bag don't have a lot of oxygen.:duc:hit:hu

Bob the last thing you would find me doing is gutting a fish. So I want looks over taste. Koi to expensive goldfish prefect.
You don't like to eat fish?
