We were all once children. Do you remember? Do you really remember?

After awakening this morning, I read a little about a photographer and his interaction with the subjects of his portraits. He is a real young guy and said that we assume so much, thinking we know people before we really do. The "others," I suppose.

Before awakening this morning I was dreaming that I was with a small group sitting in a car, outside of a building where I once went to school as a child. I was my present day self and very briefly explaining my experience there. Our next stop was to be the location of my childhood home. I realized that I knew the way despite the 40+ years since I had even just driven by.

I was excited to see it! The house is gone and I know by Google street view that it is now the site of another school. I wasn't returning to my childhood but nearly! I said to the others, "This is incredible!" And, awakened.

A remarkable thing was that I awakened so easily and hardly knew whether I was awake or asleep. "... there are advantages to going through the 'waking hours' in an imaginative state, separated from reality." But, I wrote that -- yesterday.

A comedian was recently saying that people download Google Earth and can go anywhere in the World. Where is it that they look, the first time? Their own home.

@Nyboy , he is doing that for his on benefit as well as feeling good about interacting with you.

Everything takes "muscle memory." We know how to walk. It isn't something that we have to learn every day upon rising. Forget how to walk, not just being physically incapable? Sure. Olde people like me make conscious note of all sorts of activities that we took for granted as younger people. All that is physical has become difficult, even risky.

It is an important moment for your father to leave the house and head off to the diner. He cannot see it from his front window. There is this and that to do before arriving there. Do young people even think about closing the car door on their foot, stumbling over a curb, or arriving at a public place with a fabric softener sheet clinging unnoticed to their clothing?

Do you remember? Do you really remember?
Little girls and little boys inside we should never allow us to forget about them.
I often see my grandmother's house in a dream. I go out there and stop in front of an old cupboard. A large mirror hanging on it. When I was a little girl, there were old dresses of my mother and her sisters. I loved them in front of this mirror to try on. Now in my dreams I try on dresses again. I do not open the cabinet, just look at yourself in the mirror and change my dress. Of course, they are very beautiful in a dream , my mother never had such dresses.
Often I dream of a house in the city where I lived as a child. I'm not very fond of our apartment. And I can not get there in a dream. Elevator never stops on the storey, which I need. (Or do not need it?)

I also try to use "conscious attention". I can speculate about something on the road and did not notice that the traffic light switched. And then I think: "For someone honking car? What an idiot stopped the movement of? My God, it's me!!!"

And even if time ain't really on my side,
It's one of those days for taking a walk outside.
I'm blowing the day to take a walk in the sun,
And fall on my face in somebody's new mowed lawn ...

Tomorrow at breakfast you may prick up your ears,
Or you may be dreamin' for a thousand years.

I really, really remember...in great, full color vivid detail. I can remember things from when I was under 2 yrs old and upward. Just can't remember things that happened a few years ago or even a few months ago. :D
