Every morning on way to my car I stop and give Harvey 2 carrots as a treat. I buy the exlarge bags of carrots at supermarket. I did not have room in fridge so I put the bag in freezer. I don't leave any fruit or vegetable out, I used to and got a bad case of fruit fly's. It has been very hot so I left carrots in freezer and give him 2 frozen every day. I am not sure if he eats them frozen or lets thaw but they are gone when I get back home.

Nice treat. Even my dogs love frozen foods. Harvey gets even more benefit from gnawing frozen carrots than refrigerated ones.

I can't believe you've never stayed to watch Harvey with a carrot.

Great idea! I'll do up some for my 2 bunnies. The heat is so hard on rabbits. It's 93 degrees here today.

With the high temperatures expected this week, keeping the chickens comfortable (cool) is a challenge. Perhaps some frozen foods would brighten their day. Frozen corn /veggie medley anyone?
