Some of you might have corresponded with Athena here on the forum.

She is still stationed in Iraq, but is due home in March.

I plan on sending here a welcome home satchel of seeds, and am asking the rest of TEG to pitch in to give her a warm welcome back to the states....

Any takers?

I haven't "met" Athena but I'd be happy to share some seeds with a returning service person!
Just give us the info where to send them.

OK, I haven't asked Athena's permission to post her address, so I thought the best thing would to mail seeds to my address, then I can package them up in a nice box to send them to her.

I believe she is coming back early March....

So my mailing address is:

Dan Langhoff
1004 Millenium Court
Ramona, CA 92065

Maybe just put attention Athena and then I can compile whatever we get...

How does that sound?

What a great idea. I will be sending seeds to you. And if you communicate with her before she comes home, will you please send a "thank you for service" from me?

OMGoodness!!!.....

I am flatterred....but, I must square away a few things....

I am a former military member, 10 years, U.S. Air Force.

I am now, a civilian, working for the Air Force.

I am a 49 yr old divorced, mother of 4, grandmother of 3, that is an engineer by trade. In Nov of '07, a former boss called and said he needed me in Iraq to launch a new system.. and thats how my yearlong journey into Iraq began.

It has been an experience, but its simply time to go home, and get back into my life. In fact, I can't wait, and I find these last few weeks to drag along so slowly! Chatting about chickens, bunnies and seeds.. are what keeps me going.

I have approx 5 weeks and a wake-up.. to leave this austere place. (I am trying to be nice!).....

Dan,.. Thank You for this thread...
I really appreciate everyones friendship and generosity at TEG.

As a former Army brat, 2 year Army vet, thank you for your service. Ten years Air Force and being there now as a contractor still counts as service.
