I like all animals -- in their place -- and their place is NOT in my gardens, orchards, or lawns. I actually have quite a bit of space left untouched for animals. I have food growing meant for the area wildlife. I leave fallen trees and have built brush piles for habitat and shelter.
That being said, local fauna have plenty of places to live and find food away from the small part of our property I claim for myself and my family. So Bambi in the woods -- good. Bambi in the orchard -- call Uncle Frank. Benjamin Bunny anywhere but in the garden -- I'm okay with that.
This isn't at my place. This is over by Hayden Lake, Steve. Yes, it's the place where most of my deer repellent gets sprayed and I try to be two steps ahead of the browsers. Next year this little guy will see me throwing rakes and hoes in his direction. But for now he is just the sweetest thing.
