Happened to us last Thursday.

It has been so bad here this summer. Detours get detoured! You drive through a road in the a.m. to find it closed only hours later. Grrr.

There is a lot going on here too. They inspected bridges and three are or were under repair. Our slow country road at the end of our private road became a busy bypass. The only good thing out of that was they made a few improvements and kept it graded. I don't think it was worth the extra traffic for a while.

The further north you go the more road work they try to do in the good weather because the winters are so hard to do road work in.

Pulse does the work on new bridge effect you ?

Not in the sense that it is affecting my day to day activities, but it has somewhat affected my recreational travel plans for Friday afternoons. With the construction, I've had to take places across the river like Nyack and Nanuet off the table. Which is a pity as there is a lot of fun stuff to do there, like go hunting for Native American pottery (picked this up four weeks ago)

I'm almost desperate enough to go back to Brewster this Friday, but I promised my Doctor I wouldn't (If I go back to Brewster, there is a very real risk that I will go into the DeCicco & Sons there, buy my weigh in fuet sausage and eat it all within a day or two.)

Pottery not showing up. Was just in Nyack a couple weeks ago but was night time ended up lost LOL
