I'm looking for someone who wouldn't mind sharing a few bulbs so I can get my bed going again this fall. I'm looking for hardneck varieties. If you have some to spare, I would be happy to pay shipping for some.

i'll see what comes up from my garden. i had 7 varieties that grew out of the 14 i planted. so far the Polish Jen is the best one i have. i did have some Killarney Red going too, but those i didn't have many that came up. i have some bulbils growing too i can send. they take longer to grow but helps to propagate more when you didn't get a lot of full sized bulbs.

Sadly I rotted out quite a few of mine from the high moisture in the rain while I was trying to cure, or I would happily share with you! I just lost too many after mine had done so well.

I was buying my garlic from GrowOrganic.com I really love their selection and I only buy what I need when I need it. I enjoy the many kinds I've started with from them so far its been wonderful. I just wish they had better prices on their leeks.

I have Purple Glazer and Killarney ( I think that's the one, need to check). Both are hardnecks. PM me your address and when they have finished curing I'll send you a few bulbs. :)

Thanks folks! I used to have several varieties going, but lost everything a few years ago. I had Killarney, a purple something (can't remember them all) a variety called Music and a couple others. I'll see it I can't scare up something to send back. If I can keep the black rot at bay, maybe some homemade grape jelly ;)

i'll have to check to see if i will have any of the Rosewood, Romania Red, Italian Purple and Legacy. my tags got buried during the winter and i haven't bothered to pull them all up to see where i planted each variety. the weather should be good in the morning when i go to check them.

ok, took a look at what i have i can send. i can send a bulb or two of Killarney Red, Polish Jen, Siberian Red, and 1 of Legacy. i found i had a Bavarian Purple i can send a bulbils from one of the 2 bulbs that survived growing.

i also had some Susanville (softneck type) that grew but they are small bulbs and did something strange i wasn't expecting for garlic when they tried sending up their scapes. they never really sent up a scape, instead they formed really big bulbils near the ground just above the surface.

I didn't think soft necks sent up scapes like hard necks did. I'll send you a PM.

i had never tried growing a softneck garlic before so i wasn't sure they even produced anything like bulbils. these 'seeds' seemed to look just like the cloves and were quite large, about the same size as the cloves on the garlic that i pulled.
