So, I have some garlic in my fridge that is sprouting. I bought it from the store... do you think it would be okay to put it in the ground and try to grow it? How do I plant garlic??? I've never even thought of planting garlic before so I have no idea what to do!

Generally, garlic is something you plant in the fall- but hey, it is an experiment- you can do it anytime you want! Just separate the cloves and plant each one individually with the pointy side up. Then, wait... Not too complicated! Enjoy!

Woohoo!! We LOVE garlic in this family! I'm going to have to try it at least. I might actually wait until fall because the only sprouting cloves that are left are kinda scrawny lookin!!

I have lots of garlic in the garden that I planted in the fall. Mine was also an experiment since I found several cloves sprouting at the Piggly Wiggly! So far, it's doing great! I dug one up about 6 weeks ago just to see how it was holding up!

I got tons of garlic sprouting from fall... the cats use the bed as a potty, but I shove them back in the ground and all is fine. They do well even when handled roughly! hahaha
