Here is some that I harvested yesterday. Some of the bulbs were small so I'm not sure if they will be good. I also didn't know it would bruise easily - I would have been more gentle!

Very nice harvest!! With our mild winter, it looks like my garlic is way ahead of schedule... Enjoy your garlic!

Southern, did your garlic give you scapes before you harvested them? Mine have note done that yet, but the leaves have browned and looking a lot like yours. This would be the first year without scapes before harvest for me, if that is possible. Now last year I harvested right before the 1st of June. If I have to wait for the flowering stalks to occur, it won't happen then for me. Which is odd with such a mild winter for us?

V, I got only a couple - I'm wondering if I pulled them too early? I have a lot left in the ground - I pulled these because this little devil trampled them! I'll wait a while longer before I digl the rest.

I thought with our mild winter they would be ready now.

There really is no such thing as "not ready". You can harvest garlic anytime during the growing season... So, maybe yours would have grown a little bigger-but you can still enjoy them now! Awfully cute pup!

SouthernGardener, you have inspired me to harvest mine! They looked just like yours and I'm very pleased since it's my first time growing garlic. I just hope it tastes good! I also worried wheter I pulled them too early.

I hope they taste good also Mary - we'll just have to wait a couple of weeks to find out!
