I was looking at glecklerseedmen.com and saw the Gary O tomato on there. Turns out it was created by one of the Mueller boys, just south of me. That family has been growing and selling great flowers and vegetables for many years.
I read in a local publication that the family is strongly into an international organization that provides seeds and education for third world countries. I don't have the details for you, but I can tell you they are an asset to their community.
So.....I'm gonna get me some of those Gary O seeds!

It's from a cross of Brandywine and Cherokee Purple, So Lucky. It seems to be just about the most popular of these sorts of "modern" things.

Mr. Mueller had 3 different offspring from the cross. I remember seeing that he considered the Gary O Sena selection only for tagste. However, it is reported as being earlier than either parent - big plus for my garden!

I 've grown it several years and think it is really something special.

I made an order from them not so long ago, what I like about them is they're really close! Off topic, but can somebody tell me about their "ripples" eggplant? Creator, OP/hybrid, an alternative name for another eggplant?

I can't wait to try some of those Prescott Fond Blanc Melons...

Isn't it fun to discover the backgrounds behind the seeds we plant? I especially like learning about the ones that were developed in the neighborhood of my own garden. Blacktail Mountain watermelon, (just up the highway)
and Painted Mountain corn, not as close, but almost local, are two that I have.
