OK, maybe not the moon, but putting those seeds into the dirt! I ordered seeds a month ago, got some supplies today to make two more heating boxes to start a few hundred plus seeds. I have two others but need to expand. The boxes are 4x3 with heating wire on the bottom, covered with sand and topped with pots with soil and seed. I will sprout perennial flower seeds, tomato, pepper, squash, cucumber, and many other vegetable seeds. I then put them on shelves with shop lights. I use flats that I have saved and make pots from newspaper. Here is hoping this will be a fruitful garden year, beginning soon at my place.

Also, I cleaned out the chicken house today and added lots of the removed material to compost bin, into the raised bed waiting for topsoil to be delivered, and some to my boat for my salad garden. I have a couple bags of compost to add to the boat and to be covered with black plastic to heat it up . Hopefully it will be done in a few weeks so to start the onions, lettuce, spinach, and radishes.

This gloomy cold weather has gotten me in the doldrums and hoping beginning the gardening process will get me out of that downed spirit!

Happy Gardening FRIENDS!
