Two weeks ago it was a real free for all at the milking shed.
I had just finished milking "Shortnin" the head doe, and when I let her out of the shed, the three other does pushed past me and ran to the back milk stand and gobbled up the bit of grain left in the bowl! Here they are the naughty girls!

I finally got everyone back out of the shed, but Dutchess and one of her kids, kept trying to get back in. Here are their heads sticking through the gate.

This last Tuesday night I had visitors while I was milking. One of the ladies took my photo with her camera phone. It is a bit grainy since it was taken by larntern light. I am not wearing any make up, I seldom get all "gussied up" to go milking. The goats don't seem to care much one way or the other how I look.

Goats are endlessly amusing critters with nothing but mischief in the little heads.
A herd of goats is like a crowd of second grade kids overunning your yard.

Some lovely pictures, and I am sure the goats will love you with or without makeup, expecially if you have grains with you.

Mine have never seen me with makeup on, they would probably run away in fright.:gig

Ahh, goats are so fun!

Mine do that pretty much every time they get loose, they run at top speed for the milking stand and I'll have four or five goats all trying to climb on and look for grain! At least it makes them easy to catch.

I had a doe that loved the inside of the house for some reason. She was really crazy anyway, you never knew what she would do...and one day when I was home alone, she would break down the gate to her pen (she lived alone because the others tried to kill her), run to the house and bang her feet against the glass door. I would open the door to catch her and put her back, and she would push me down, go in the house, and run full speed up and down the halls, through the kitchen, into the bedrooms, until I got her caught! She did it three or four times before I finally tied her up inside her pen with a chain until my husband got home to put a better gate latch on.

Never a dull moment with goats!

Goodness, that is a great story. My neighbor told me about her big Alpine Doe. This one loved to open doors! When she would come home from work many times the goat had let herself into the house! They are funny creatures to be sure. Always thinking!
