Except when stealing eggs. We like gopher snakes because they rid us of creatures we don't like.

Here's what happened: A mouse was killed by the electric fence, the gopher snake went under the wire and ate the mouse. He , the snake, was thin enough to go under the wire until after he ate the mouse then the bulge the mouse made caused him to get too close to the wire on the way back out of the garden. It's sad, we really like them.

I'll have to post the picture in the next frame.

I'm sure he does, daughter had no idea that when she moved the mouse from under the wire, she should have thrown it out of the garden. The two girls did everything they could to save him, the snake, but the poor little animal was gone.

It, the mouse, was freshly dead. It's just like the little lizard that collects the flies swatted in the milking area. The other day a lizard got zapped but I was able to turn the fence of quickly and set him where the garden mister was about to come on. That fence hits pretty hard.
