Those sure are gorgeous cactus pics! I liked the tips too. I have a night blooming cactus that I have seen bloom twice- utterly incredible and the smell, heavenly. Nature is so cool!!! Thanks for sharing!

Do you have native cactus near your home in BC?

They aren't real close but I've happened onto them when I've been out and about :

Opuntia fragilis

Yes there are some cactus growing wild out here but I haven't looked at them close up. I saw some near the golf course at Cache Creek (about 45 min from here) but didn't stop to check them out. I haven't wandered too far in the dry areas around here as I stay pretty busy in my yard.
