I have had grapes in the ground for going on 3 years now. No grapes. The vines grow but still aren't any bigger than my thumb and have never made the first grape. Thoughts?

Granite rock dust is a favorite of grapes.
Proper water at the base, not the foliage.
Water on the foliage cause black spot.
And not overly fertilized, otherwise you get all growth and no grapes.
Grapes also take a long time before they really produce good crops.
Proper pruning is also necessary.

Any good garden book will walk you through the particulars.

What type of garden book. There are few things that I can't grow but for some reason grapes is one of them. Also where would I find the granite dust?

Go to the book store and look in the garden section. That what I do, and I always seem to find something with the info I need. Why buy the whole book?

I love books, and when I run across one I really like I buy it, but for many answers I usually turn to Google (which will turn up good books as well as other useful links). Put Grape Cultivation into a Googlebox and you get this.
