You all know how I butchered my 2009 grape crop. NOT THIS YEAR!

These two show a pot with my new grape that I bought this Spring.

Notice it's bright green leaves. It's growing in the pot and will be transplanted end of September.

Your grape vines don't have to have perfect leaves to produce a perfect crop. :D

I am SO SHORT on time, I'm just gonna bag, label and freeze 'em. I'll make grape jam and jelly, but I don't know if I'll have to enough to make any wine.
Boy, I'll tell ya--how do ANY of us have to the time to take ANY pictures?!?!?
I just had to take a few, otherwise all of you would think I was fibbin!!!!

Oh wow! Yeah that's a nice haul!

Definitely try to get in some wine making. I don't know how any of us have any time to do anything!!! Let alone do anything with what we barely have time to grow.

Don't know what kind. I've never gone to an extension office to find out. I assume that they are Concord. They are really sweet at their peak, but not all peak at the same time. I've busy harvesting, and I use some that aren't peak flavored anyway.
I had 6 established vines when we moved to the property 10 years ago. One died, and I have it's replacement in a pot, right next to it's planting spot. (It has the bright, green leaves with the "Limenitis arthemis astyanax" butterfly who landed briefly on one of them.)

The replacement isn't the same kind--it's a seedless red variety for just eating.
This is the 5th time I've tried to grow a grape that I bought. Every time I've put them into the ground, and lost them because they dried out, or got choked with grass around them, or bugs ate on them. I thought I'd try what has worked for me for fruit trees, which is to repot in a much larger pot than it came in, keep it well watered, and plant in it's permanent home in the Fall. Late next month I will plant this grape.
Lots of grapes fall off each year, when you're harvesting and just due to the wind and rain, and NONE of them have grown a volunteer vine for me--certainly not like my Rose of Sharon do!

DD must have clicked 20 shots of this butterfly (that I just id'd online), but the stinker wouldn't give us a wingspread shot.
