I dug dirt back in February and grew some ? volunteer tomatoes, so I potted them. In early March I put them in a window well with the glass from an old truck topper as protection. I've since added ones I started from seed.

I just water them every few days, and leave 'em alone. The rocks are there to prevent a stiff wind from throwing the glass off and breaking it. They're all doing very well. I intend to start adding dirt soon to force more roots. I might repot them before planting, but that's 6 weeks away.

A perfect little cold frame, with insulation from the earth! I love it! Looks like it working great, too!
