Good thing this is self fertile or I might have missed a chance at cherries :D

Sorry for the blur....it is a cell phone pic.

Wow- they look fabulous! I planted them in the garden last year, but they never really took off- I think it was just too rainy. I am hoping a few reseeded themselves... we'll see. Enjoy!

Looking great! Makes me want to plant my ground cherry seeds in pots even though I never have luck with indoor plants.

I used to have horrible luck with indoor plant starting until someone on this forum posted the key....LUMENS.

The plant needs 2000 to grow normally and not get all spindly. You can get that from one 175w equivalent CFL. I can't get 175's so I use 2 100's with a reflector. The clamp lights with reflectors are only $6 or so at Walmart or Lowes.

That is why it REALLY helps us to talk to each other. ANYONE with mucho $'s can garden, because of SO MANY gardening gizmos available, but, MAN, that makes it a VERY EXPENSIVE hobby. (I already HAVE an expensive money-drain--don't NEED a 2nd one!)
I get such a kick out of the recycling done by members of this forum, and on the sister forums. I don't feel alone in my penny-pinching ways, anymore. :hugs to all!! :D

I use those reflectors for my brooders and heat bulb in winter and DH likes them for working on the truck (clamp it where you want it). They are so handy. $6 well-spent!
