I'm just glad I don't have to shut down and do nothing all winter. Last winter we 'built' everything. All the raised beds got done, and fences went it... I couldn't plant anything until spring (or late winter). It'll be nice to know I have something to look forward to in June already. Autumn is such a bummer for me.

Hey Joe!

I just replied to you on my blog! Thanks for the awesome compliments!

I just want to say, that every spring I can find, cool season seed everywhere... I can find bulbs of all kinds... onions and garlic is sold even in Walmart!

Just because its sold all at that time, does not mean its supposed to be planted then. Then comes Late summer and early fall and these places DO NOT carry these items that should be planted then.

I think I should add to my blog that contacting local nurseries or online sales venues is the best bet to ever actually get these items on time for the correct season of growth. Odd?! Why yes!

You are right about what these Big Box stores sell, I hate how they label ( The lack of ) most of the plants they sell.

I only rescue the plants they have from the clearance rack!

I must say that local nurseries are a great resource for info also.
They are not just some checkout girl that has no idea what a plant is or needs!

Good point V

Joe
